Picture Polish Monroe

There's not much to say about Picture Polish Monroe except that it's beautiful and I love it!  It's a plum scattered holographic polish that twinkles away in all lights.  I do not have the original Monroe, which is highly coveted, but it is darker and less holographic, I believe.
I used either two or three coats, plus topcoat to achieve that radiant shine.  Wouldn't you wear this in all seasons and for all occasions?!  :)

My late Valentine's Day mani

This mani has been queued for a while; I wore this before 'V Day' (I do not celebrate that consumerist excuse for a holiday).  I believe this is the second time I have posted Cult Let's Get Dirty and it's no wonder: this polish is amazing!  It is a matte polish and I wore it as such, but frustratingly, it comes out as shiny in my photos.  Perhaps it was my flash.
Let's Get Dirty applied nicely in two coats, as well as SOPI Sparkling Personality and CbL Vamp.  I'm not sure this shade of red is the best on me, but dang, Leah Ann knows how to create some stunning holos!

Zoya Solange and Beatrix

Quickie post (gee, what else is new?!).  I am so behind on blogging, and just about everything else in life, so I figure a brief post is better than nothing.
Two coats of Zoya Solange (yellow) and Beatrix (orange) makes for a delightfully spring-y manicure.  I wore this in the middle of winter and it was a nice to see bright colours dancing on my tips out of the corners of my eyes.  :)  Usually orange and yellow are not my colours of choice in nail polish, but I really like these two together, probably because of the texture effect.

What colours are you excited to bust out this long-overdue spring?

Mish Mash turned Ombre skittles

I went through my stash one night and wanted to revisit some polishes that I haven't used in a while.  The following picture is what happened.  I loved the two Glitter Gal holos together, so I decided to keep those and do a green holo ombre mani instead.  I'm glad I did because this was just a bit too disjointed for me. ;)  I love, love, love Expecto Patronum, though.  It's the only white jelly with glitter that actually becomes opaque and behaves nicely on me.

Glitter Gal Lizard Belly (thumb, two coats)

Except for Light as a Feather which was three coats, all the rest of the holos applied nicely in two coats.
I'm not sure if I used topcoat or not, but it doesn't really matter.  Look at the gorgeous holo!

Have you had any manis that began one way and evolved into something pleasantly different?  It seems to happen all the time to me!

Contrary Accents

There's just something I love about brown and blue together; throw in a little taupe and you've got yourself an awesome colour combo!  As soon as I got these Contrary beauties, I knew I had to use them right away.  Of course, they both deserve their own manis by themselves. :)
All of the polishes applied nicely in two coats and the beautiful shimmer (The Boulevard and Dykh Tau) and microglitter (The Plaza) were highlighted with a coat of topcoat.

Isn't The Plaza's multicoloured microglitter amazing? *sigh*

I can't wait to play with my Contrarys again!  I just love how Carrie foregoes the traditional indie route of glitter and dabbles in shimmer instead.
