Glitter Gal Fuschia

This post is going to be short and sweet tonight ladies as it's almost my bedtime!  :)
I shortened my nails this week, a bit voraciously I might add, and then proceeded to do what I normally do to my nubs: adorn them with a holo.  I've worn this whitened pink holo before but never took any photos.  I love it!  It's subtle but gloriously holographic in the sun and nice and neutral in the shade.  Two coats provided great coverage and Glitter Gal holos usually wear well on me without any base or top coats.  One thing I would change about this is the name, though.  Fuschia is a bright purplish pink.  This is clearly not!  :)

Cult Nails Manipulative/Captivated

These are not my first Cult Nails polishes, but they, especially Manipulative, have propelled Cult Nails into my new favourite brand!  One of the blogs I follow, Chit Chat Nails (a fellow Canuck), regularly showcases Cult polishes on her lovely nails.  Well, her gorgeous and creative swatch photos spurred me to order several more Cult polishes from the recent $7 sale.  When those arrived and I saw how beautiful and well-made these polishes are, I simply had to purchase more.  Bad, I know, especially when I am trying to destash my collection!
I've seen this combo quite a lot in the blogosphere, so credit goes to everyone who has done it before me ~ using Captivated as an accent nail with Manipulative!  I used two coats of Manipulative, a creamy faded turquoise with slight silver shimmer and two coats of Scandalous under one coat of Captivated.  Obviously, Captivated darkened the bright coral of Scandalous into an orange shade ~ still very pretty though.
It's a fresh, summery combo, don't you think? :)
I used one coat of Wicked Fast over this manicure, but Captivated was surprisingly smooth even without the topcoat!
Now, what Cult polish do I try next?  I can't decide!

Pretty and Polished Cheer Camp

This polish is what I wanted DP Expecto Patronum to be like (different colour, of course) - a buildable jelly, glitter that does not hide, and a smooth finish!  :)
The whitish pink jelly applied nicely in two coats and no clean up was necessary, even though I applied excitedly and in a rush.  Beautiful light pink and purple medium hexes accent the tiny pink glitter in Cheer Camp and just make me want to stare at my nails all day.  I wish I had purchased two of these, as I can see myself using this as a palate cleanser very often!
What are your palate cleansers?

China Glaze IDK and L8R G8R

Wow!  It's been quite a while since I last posted.  Well, this is a good one ~ the beautiful lilac linear holo from China Glaze, IDK.  I was never interested in it when it originally came out, but was lucky enough to swap for it recently!  I love it.  Two coats applied nicely and not 'patchy' as some people say about the CG holos.  I decided to have an accent thumb and adorned it with L8R G8R of the same collection ~ my favourite green holo!  What do you think about the two colours together?
