Lynnderella Bride of Franken

Last week I was in the mood for a bit of sheer colour, nothing too outrageous, and Lynnderella Bride of Franken fit the bill.  I prefer less obvious polishes when my nails are growing out.  :)
I don't remember if I used two or three coats (I'm thinking two) ~ that seems to be the trend with me lately, not remembering how many coats of polish I painted.  I used two coats of Wicked Fast though; I was pretty surprised that one did not do the trick, seeing as how this polish is not chock full of chunky glitter...

While this polish is pretty (lilac jelly, holographic micro glitter and iridescent blue/purple hexes), the iridescent hexes appear orange at certain angles.  That I do not like.  Click on the picture and look at my ring finger!  Oh well, everything else about this polish screams "lovely"!

Darling Diva Chandelle

I fell in love with Darling Diva Chandelle after seeing only one swatch (and not a very good one, at that).  I love that it's a jelly nude, peppered with multicoloured (and some opalescent) tiny glitter and larger green, pink, copper and gold hexes.  It is cheery and girly and reminds me of candy!
Even though this was my mani a few days ago, I don't remember whether it was two or three coats.  I do remember that application was slightly tedious; I had to dab on the polish for the second coat and used one coat of Gelous and one coat of Diamont to smooth out the glitter.   Well worth the bit of effort it took, though.  :)
Both of the DD polishes I've swatched have been beauties; I can't wait to try the rest!

Guest Post at Polish All the Nails

A while back, Laura at Polish All the Nails, featured me as a guest poster!  I thought the link wasn't working, but indeed it was.  Missed my shot at fame.  *hee hee*

Lynnderella Gotta Love Brains

I won't say anything about the controversy surrounding Lynderella polishes, the wishlist process, and bar glitter quality control.  I will say, however, that Lynnderella makes a mean grey glitter ~ Gotta Love Brains!  I'll spare you the description, since I'm sure you are all familiar with GLB and let my mani do the talking.
I managed to snag three huge hexagons ~ on this middle finger and on both thumbs.  :)  The only thing I would change about GLB is the bar glitter; I am not one for bar glitter.  But, the few bars that landed on my nails behaved and laid flat, so I'm happy.  Oh, and I would use grey or lilac underwear perhaps, as this mani took three coats and two coats of top coat!
And just because...a close up of GLB.  You might not see it, but it has fine pink shimmer in there.  I still can't believe I acquired this beauty in a swap!  I hope you are as lucky in your swaps.  :)

Nailventurous Robin Laid an Egg

I love this white glitter polish on others, but I don't know if I like it on me.  Maybe it shows off the yellow in my skin too much?  It is my first white polish though, so I think I'll have to keep it.  :)
Two coats provided opacity (except for that darn ridge on my ring finger), which was nice, but I also needed two coats of topcoat to smooth out the glitter (and it wasn't totally smooth).  That was not so nice.  And, cleanup was a bit of a pain, but glitters always are...
Let's get to the goods, shall we?
Maybe it will look better in the middle of the summer when I am a bit more tanned!  :)

A few glitter top coats

Even though my Ozotic 533 mani from two days ago was still going strong, I decided to spruce it up a bit with several top coats.  Why I didn't wait until I was wearing a plain creme, I don't know.  There would be more contrast that way, and thus easier to discern the glitter differences.  Oh well...
Behold the glitter contenders:
Lynnderella Shape Shifter, Candeo Dive Bomb, Girly Bits Wet Bikini

Shape Shifter is chock-full of silver holographic glitter of all shapes and sizes.  I heard that one coat provides plenty of glitter, but I did one full coat and blobbed on a bit more glitter on the right side of my nail.  There's not too much contrast between 533 and Shape Shifter, but it is still pretty.  Notice the long stick glitter that got caught on the end of my nail and is poking out like an antenna ~ oops!
Lynnderella Shape Shifter

Dive Bomb and Wet Bikini seem similar in my (not so great) photo, but in the bottles, they are not as similar.  Dive Bomb is brighter while Wet Bikini is more subdued.  Dive Bomb is predominantly medium and teal blue based glitter, accented with small copper and large chocolate hexagons, whereas Wet Bikini is teal and royal blue squares and hexes, accented with opalescent hexes.  Both have clear bases and both are gorgeous!  I painted my index and middle fingers with Dive Bomb and my ring and pinky with Wet Bikini, but I will only show you the middle and ring fingers.  They have both one coat of the glitters, which are suprisingly smooth without top coat!
Candeo Dive Bomb, Girly Bits Wet Bikini

In terms of glitter payoff, Dive Bomb delivers much more in one coat and spreads very easily (plus I love the brown accents!), but both polishes are equally beautiful with their teal glitter.  I love teal!
Which do you prefer?

Ozotic 533

I finally completed my Ozotic 'mish mash' set (531, 532, 533, 534) and, surprisingly, 533 is definitely my favourite of the bunch (I thought it would be 532).  It flashes periwinkle blue to lilac to pink, but mostly blue.  I love it!  I wore it by itself, two coats.  I know others like to use black polish as underwear with these Ozotics, but I love the delicate colours by themselves.
Love, love, love!
*sigh*
It even makes my nubs look decent!  :)
