Lippmann Collection Forget You

This is my second Deborah Lippmann polish and I am swiftly becoming a glitter convert.  Two coats were all I needed for the black jelly base and multi-sized glitter to become opaque.  I love the depth of this polish; it looks like the glitter is floating in inky water!  I do have a bit of tipwear already (it's been one day), but that I can handle.  It's chipping that drives me crazy.
I can't wait until my fourth DL polish (Glitter in the Air) arrives...

Fuschia Fishnets...

...are what my mani reminds me of!  One coat of Purple Panic, one coat of Ultra Voilet and of course, a layer of Nubar Diamont topcoat.  Take a peek:

Bear in mind that these two pictures are pinker than the polishes in real life.  Other swatches of Ultra Violet are here and here; you can see how difficult it is to photograph!
Sadly, after a quick afternoon of quilting, my thumb polish chipped.  Off it comes and onto another mani...

Milani Gems

Continuing the glitter trend, here is Milani Gems.  Yes, I know you've seen it and its dupes a million times before, but indulge me this once! :)  The polish is packed full of glitter, but it seemed kind of goopy.  The three coats dried quickly though, and two coats of topcoat made them (mostly) smooth.  You'll see a bit of visible nail line, but that doesn't bother me as there is so much going on with this polish!  As you can see, it looks great by itself and also nice as a one-coater over a base polish.

LA Girl Glitter Addict Explosion!

I'm not usually a glitter kind of gal, but lately they have been piquing my interest.  Last year, it was Wet and Wild Prancer; this year it's Across the Universe.  Imagine what I did when I saw, in my local Suzy Shier store, a bunch of LA Girl polishes @ 2 for $5?  I bought a bunch, of course!  I might even go back to pick up another of the black glitter as well as the purple one.  The polishes all have clear bases with small glitter and larger hex glitter.  The small glitter in Nostalgic is holo, as well as the hex glitter in Euphoria.

I decided to layer four of the colours (Uninhibited, Euphoria, Provocative, Nostalgic) and now want to make my own 'Happy Birthday' franken, Natalie style (meaning: no orange or gold but lots of blues, pinks and black)!

Here it is:

How awesome are these?  They are unique (in that they have multi-sized glitter), affordable and have a good range of colours ~ 12 I believe.  And they are 3 Free!

Deborah Lippmann Across the Universe

My first Lippmann polish...and I am smitten!  From a swap, no less!
I am not even a navy blue fan, to tell the truth, but the jelly blue base, combined with the royal blue tiny glitter and the larger blue and green hexagon glitter equal a beautiful mix of blue and green.  Two coats provided opacity, but I opted for a third to smooth out the edges (I am learning how to apply the polish close to the cuticle, but not touching).

Time to drool:
